A free Eisenhower Matrix that sorts your tasks for you
The Eisenhower Matrix, also called the Priority Matrix, sorts tasks by two questions: how urgent is it? and how important is it? Fix My Priorities asks five short questions per task, scores urgency and importance from 0 to 10, and places the task in one of four quadrants:
Quadrant 1: Do Now
Urgent and important. Hard deadlines and real emergencies. Handle these today.
Quadrant 2: Plan
Important but not urgent. Strategy, learning, health. This is where growth happens, so schedule it.
Quadrant 3: Delegate
Urgent but not important. Requests that feel pressing but don't move your goals. Hand them off when you can.
Quadrant 4: Eliminate
Neither urgent nor important. Busywork and low-value meetings. Cut without guilt.
It works without an account, your tasks stay private, and with a free account you can keep separate matrices for work and home. New to the method? Read the Eisenhower Matrix, explained simply, or see how the five questions work.
Real-Life Examples
Three everyday situations and how the Priority Matrix sorts them.
The overwhelmed founder
Investor update due Friday → Do Now. Hiring plan for Q3 → Plan. Reply to a partnership cold email → Delegate to an assistant. Redesigning the company Notion for the third time → Eliminate.
The student in exam week
Tomorrow's economics exam → Do Now. Thesis research for next month → Plan. Group-project chat asking what to bring to the party → Delegate. Reorganizing study playlists → Eliminate.
The busy parent
Pick up sick child from school → Do Now. Book annual dentist appointments → Plan. Reply to the school WhatsApp poll → Delegate to your partner. Scrolling holiday rentals "just to look" → Eliminate.
Try it with your own list, it usually takes one matrix to feel the difference.
